Turku & Helsinki

Finland was never on my list of places I wanted to visit, but my friends Hannah and Alan live there, so I knew I had to go. Thinking about my time in Finland I’m filled with nothing but good memories. I ate incredible Finnish food, experienced the strangest, nicest Finnish holiday, was introduced to Finnish saunas which I love.

We spent our days eating, laughing, and watching the avengers. After my time in Finland, I can now say that I understand the marvel series (thanks Alan). I discovered I enjoy Irish whiskey on the rocks. But more than anything, I was reminded of how nice it is to have friends around the world.

On my last day in Finland, the three of us headed to Helsinki so they could show me around the city. It was cold and windy but we made the most of it. It was never on my list to go to Finland, but I think I’ll be back!
